7:00 - 9:30pm - Cajun Dance! Sauce Piquante plays traditional dance music from the French-speaking communities of Southwest Louisiana. The rocking two-steps, mournful waltzes, and French lyrics will take you back to an earlier time, the days of house dances and fais-do-do's . . . the days when this was all called simply "French music" and the Cajun and Creole musical traditions were closely intertwined. The lineup includes Blair Kilpatrick on button accordion, Steve Tabak on fiddle, Kathy Price on bass, Dwight Shackelford on triangle and rubboard, and Robert Richard on guitar.

In Memorium—In April we lost the person who was most responsible for our thriving Bay Area Louisiana French dance and music community, Louisiana-born accordionist Danny Poullard. Danny was friend and mentor to many of us, an inspiration for most of the local Cajun and Zydeco bands, and Blair's major influence on the accordion. We are playing this dance in his memory.
