Jeanie and Chuck's Country Roundup
Bluegrass, honky tonk and old-time music.
Jeanie and Chuck's Country Roundup performs an entertaining
mix of honky tonk, bluegrass, and old-time on acoustic instruments. Jeanie
and Chuck Poling have been performing together ever since they met over
a song, "I'm an Old Cowhand from the Rio Grande," at Faith's
house in 1982. They share a common love for the straightforward honesty,
the unrestrained emotions, and the spirited delivery of country music.
Rounding out the Country Roundup are Karla Solheim on fiddle, Erik Eisen
on harmonica and long-time SFFMC member Matt Small on bass.
Jeanie and Chuck's Country Roundup has performed
at the San Francisco Bluegrass and Old Time Festival, the Strictly
Bluegrass 2 Festival in
Golden Gate Park, and live on the radio on KALW's Bluegrass Signal. Jeanie
and Chuck also host an acoustic bluegrass and country music jam at the
Plough & Stars on Clement Street in San Francisco every first Wednesday
of every month.
