Dances with Dean & Asha
Folk Dances in 3/4 Time
two workshops
by
Gail Barton
This year Gail will teach 2 workshops: "Dances with
Dean & Asha" & "Folk
Dances in 3/4 time". The first will feature intermediate level non-partner
international folk dances that I learned from Dean Linscott in the
70's with Asha Goldberg. The dances are challenging, fun & can
be modified. Folk dancing is about community & these dances bring
to mind the joyous spirits of these special people for me. The second
will feature mostly partner dances in 3/4 time that are enjoyed by
international folk dancers. Dances will be selected from: El Llanero,
Alexandrovska, Round Robin Mixer, Halleluya, & Hambo.
as time permits.
