Playing Workshop: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced

No prior experience required. We will go
from absolute beginner to advanced spoon playing. Spoons will be provided.
Bev and Jerry:
have been playing folk music since 1962.
have been singing in schools throughout the southwest since 1981.
have had their work published in leading periodicals
including "Music
Educators Journal," "Sing Out!", "The Folknik," "Folk Music in the
Classroom," and "Early Childhood Music."
have published a book of their own compositions
entitled "Signs of the
Times."
have recorded three albums: "Old Songs for the Young at Heart," "Are We
There Yet?", and "Going Places."
play fifteen instruments including acoustic guitar, banjo, Autoharp,
Appalachian dulcimer, harmonica, spoons, limberjacks, kazoo, tin whistle,
jaw harp, kalimba, and musical saw.
have presented more than 300 programs at the National Historic Oregon
Trail Interpretive Center near Baker City, Oregon.
have performed at more than 1400 public, private, and parochial schools
throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
have presented nearly 10,000 assemblies, classroom, and hands-on programs.
have taught more than 500,000 children to play Autoharps, spoons, and
limberjacks.
have taught an Elderhostel program entitled "American
History and the
Music of the People Who Lived It."
