Highland Bagpipes and Scottish Smallpipes
Shawn Scarlett performs with Highland Bagpipes and Scottish Smallpipes.
Shawn has been playing highland pipes for almost 20 years, and has played in a number of pipe and drum bands in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and California. He has competed with several of them internationally, most recently with the Prince Charles Pipe Band in San Francisco. Shawn was also active in solo competitions for many years across the West Coast, achieving several honors in Grade 2. He plays a set of smallpipes in the key of A made by Hamish Moore of Dunkeld Scotland and his highland pipes are 1960.s Lawries. He wears a kilt in the MacQueen family tartan.
