International Dance

Come learn a wonderful variety of simple, fun dances including selections from Bulgaria, Rumania, Israel, Turkey, and Armenia in this workshop taught by Carol Friedman. International folk dances from all countries share a basic movement vocabulary, yet each country's dances have their own special flavor and style.Carol loves to dance, and to share dances she loves. She has been dancing since she was a kid, and remembers going Israeli folk dancing with her great-aunt in Central Park, New York. She re-discovered folk dance about ten years ago, taking classes with Carol Hirsch as well as workshops whenever she could. She's been teaching international folk dance since 2000, with classes in Point Reyes Station and Petaluma.
