Skiffle Band Music and Other Fun Stuff
by Quake City Jug BandString band jazz and pop music from the Twenties and Thirties, plus TAP DANCING! The workshop will involve demonstrations, jamming, and information on Skiffle Band Music. It will focus on the form and fun of early jazz and swing with lots of participation by workshop attendees.
Quake City is a four person band performing 20's - 40's swing and pop tunes with some blues and novelty numbers here and there to make things interesting. The band has been together for at least ten years in some form or another. The instrumentation is guitar, mandolin, accordian, blues harmonica and bass. We also feature our fabulous tap dancer: Natasha Tuttle!
