Orkney Tuning One Hour Immersion
by Steve BaughmanTrying out a new open tuning is a great way to spice up your playing. Open Tuning refers to a technique where you retune your guitar so that you play chords with minimal fingering because the strings have been tuned to the chords already.
Orkney (CGDGCD) is a great place to start because it is very intuitive and accessible. This will be a total immersion experience targeted to early intermediates through advanced players in which we'll get in the tuning and then proceed to play for the whole hour. By the end of the class you'll be accompanying simple songs in the tuning, OR YOUR MONEY BACK! Chord charts will be provided. Bring guitars.
