Argentine Tango is an improvisational, romantic and fun dance. Born
in Argentina at the end of the 19th century, it reached the golden
era in the 40's and 50's. After the golden period, due to social and
cultural conditions in Argentina, tango dancing was suppressed.
In the mid 80's the great stage show "Tango Argentino" spearheaded
a tango renaissance, bringing tango throughout the world & continues
to this day.
Carol has been studying Argentine Tango with
the world famous instructor Nora Dinzelbacher for the past 8 years,
along with the best tango maestros
from Argentina including Graciela Gonzales, Nito
and Elba, Gloria and Eduardo and many others. Carol is now Nora's assistant, & has
been teaching and performing tango at various locations in bay area.
