How Jug Band Music Influenced the Blues and Rock

It's a well-known fact that The Grateful Dead was originally a jug band. But, was that a coincidence? Born out of the country blues, jug band music has managed to strongly influence a variety of uniquely American musical styles. In this workshop members of the CJBA will show via recordings and live music how the Chicago Blues, R & B, and rock have helped to carry on the jug band tradition.
