All My Pretty Ones

If Nick Drake had made music surrounded by the sympathetic kinship of likeminded musical compatriots, instead of languishing alone in near isolation, he might have sounded like All My Pretty Ones. Sometimes they sound like Sean Hayes and Devandra Banhardt and others in the Indy folk movement. Other times they sound like the introspective 60s folk rock of Simon and Garfunkle or CSNY but with a little baroque oboe thrown in for good measure. They describe themselves thusly: A group of earnest musicians and one songwriter that like to harmonize together and break a couple hearts.
