The Fancy Dan Band

All too few people have heard of this happy, snappy, feel-good combo although I see they now have more than 10,000 hits on their myspace. So it seems that the secret is out! Their songs have a bouncy, country-rockabilly sound. But they don’t hit you over the head with hipster retro-ness. They have a friendly engaging style. Just try to keep those toes from tapping or those jaw muscles from breaking into a big ol’ grin. This is the sound fashioned by Johnny Cash and Hank Williams that is the root of the Fancies’ sound. And when the talented Hankerin’ Jane takes the stage for a spirited Jackson with her hubby Dan, it just about brings the house down.
