Fishtank Ensemble

If you had a friend you wanted to introduce to the world of modern gypsy music, this is the band to play. Gypsy may be the starting point for understanding the Fishtank experience, but their repertoire includes Balkan, Flamenco, Klezmer, and originals. There’s almost too much to talk about with these guys. Several of them received on-the-job musical training while touring Europe on an actual gypsy caravan. One is a world class shamisen player, another is a champion Flamenco guitarist, one plays bass in a rockabilly supergroup, one is an accordion madman named Duckmandu, and Ursula even plays the saw (and, BOY, what a voice).
