Saturday Evening Dances

6:00 A Vintage Ballroom Dance until 10pm

Join The Fine Companions ­ William Allen of Divertimento and Stan & Susan Kramer of Bangers & Mash (www.bangersandmash.us); the Brassworks (www.brassworksmusic.us/) with Frank Beau Davis; and callers James and Cathleen Myers of PEERS (www.peers.org) for an informal but elegant evening of vintage ballroom dancing. Dance beautiful rotary waltzes, Viennese Waltzes, polkas, mazurkas (or hambos), schottisches, vintage tangos, foxtrots, and Swing, English country and contra dances, reels, mixers, and other popular couple and set dances of the 19th and 20th centuries. All set and pattern dances, including the beautiful Congress of Vienna Waltz, will be briefly taught or called. At intermission there will be a special performance by Persephone and her Vintage Invaders (www.zootsuitswank.com/VintageWaltz)

Sunday Evening Dance

6:30: Contra and Square Dance! Until 9:30pm

Modern American Contra and Square Dance: flowing and fun moves, danced to Early American and Celtic live music. No partner needed. All dances taught and prompted. All experience levels welcome. Calling by Karen Fontana, Mavis McGaugh, Alan Winston and others. Open Band led by Art Peterson with Ann McChesney and Debra Tayleur.
