Los Cenzontles

This workshop is led by founder Eugene Rodriguez, and the featured maestro from the documentary film Pasajero, Julian Gonzales. In this interactive workshop, members of Los Cenzontles will discuss and demonstrate traditional Mariachi instruments and dance from the Jalisco region of Mexico. The group will also discuss the role that traditional music plays in contemporary society and how tradition intersects with our rapidly evolving cultural identity.
