The Glory of Love — Popular Songs of the 20s and 30s

Sing and play along with many popular songs from the twenties and thirties. Find out which songs were remakes that become pop hits in the fifties and sixties. Learn some music trivia about musicians and songwriters from a bygone era.  All ages welcome.

Jim and Rose Hudson have been involved with music for over twenty years. They've been with the South Bay Folk Group, led open mics at Cuppa Joe in Mountain View, and taught workshops at the SF Folk Fest for the past six years. They've performed at wineries, coffee shops and parties for many years, and continue to do so. They play a variety of music from pop to rock, country to old standards, jazz and blues to Broadway.

Jim's specialty is the guitar, both acoustic and electric. Rose plays piano, keyboard and synthesizer. They produce their own CDs and they will be available at the festival. Rose has also written Who Wrote the Book of Love, with fun, interesting facts about musicians, songs, and songwriters from the '50s – ‘'70s, which can be ordered by emailing Rose at RFNaegele@aol.com
