Songs of –cide
by Arlene Immerman

This includes songs of homicide, matricide, suicide, fratricide – you get the picture. There will be a body count at the end. Though this is a humorous grouping of songs, there are many incredible wonderful, haunting, powerful songs about death, both traditional and written.

This will be an inclusive workshop. Come prepared to lead a song or to sing along on the choruses. If you just want to listen, that's OK too. There's nothing better than a room full of people in full voice.

Arlene has been singing all her life. She’s been inspired by Pete Seeger, Jean Ritchie, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Joan Baez, Sheila Kaye Adams, Tom Paxton and Phil Ochs, among many others. She was featured on the In Harmony's Way CD in celebration of Bay Area a capella singing. Singing is better than an apple a day.
