Vikki Lee & Russ "The Muleskinner" Whitehead
Saturday, June 8, 2013, 5:30-6:20pm
Faith Petric Stage - Auditorium
From their humble beginnings at the Trailer Park and NoTell Bar, to the bright lights of Alaska, the Bay Area and Los Angeles concert stages with Albert Lee, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Glen Glenn, and some guy with a harmonica, Vikki Lee and Russ "The Muleskinner" Whitehead know how to cause trouble. Many times they have heard "y'all ain't from around here, are ya?" With songs about trains, laundry, and how they need a kiss, they will keep you entertained and maybe dancing until you have to go home!
Vikki Lee and Russ Whitehead to bring their "own kind of entertainment!" (patent pending ;o)
Get ready for a fun and intimate Saturday evening. Bring a date you really want to impress to this show! Vikki & Russ have finally stripped down (no, they do play fully clothed) to a bare bones nearly acoustic show that truly does highlight hooky, melodic songwriting, and, ahem, yodeling! They even offer free yodeling instruction from the stage, so get ready to join right in!
Seriously though, these two popular musicians have been down many roads together, and have shared the stage with many, including Vikki's brilliant guitar hero cousin Albert Lee, Glen Glenn, and lately they have been the supporting act to american folk legend, Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Please don't miss this show!
