Ukulele Singalong Jam
Melody Cryns
Saturday, June 8, 2013, 4:00pm
Jam Room - Room #317

Ukulele players unite! Let's have some fun and jam together - a packet of music will be provided - specifically for the ukulele player - however, all other instruments are welcome as well. We'll play songs and sing together. Feel free to bring a song to share if you wish; bring copies of the song if you can or lead a song that everyone can follow along with on ukulele.

Ukulele jam leader Mary L. Cryns (Melody) is an enthusiastic member of the ukulele playing community. She is affiliated with several ukulele groups from the Ukulele Club of Silicon Valley to the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz, Ukulele Rebellion in San Francisco and even part of the Sacramento ukulele community. She has coordinated and set up many jams. She also runs the Fremont Ukulele Jam once a month with Diane Smith and assists Dave Fitchner with the monthly sing along jam for the Silicon Valley Ukulele Club. She loves to play all kinds of music, especially folk and rock n' roll, with a very special love for Beatles music. Mary grew up in San Francisco in the same neighborhood where the SF Folk Music Club music song swap meetings still take place to this day, at Faith Petric's house, and learned to played folk guitar (and a little classical as well). Three years ago, Mary's friend gave her a ukulele. She fell in love with the ukulele and never looked back!
