Dance 1 - Room #226 (Dance Studio)
The only living Argentine folk dances that show traces of their European roots, these waltz triplet steps link highlight men's bravado with their zapateo (tap) and the women's femininity with their zarandeo (skirt work). Full or circle skirts are recommended.
Colombian-born Patricia "Gigi" Jensen is a 17 year veteran of Argentine dances. She's taught and performed in several US cities and abroad with Argentine master dancer Pampa Cortés, and is one of the founders of the Guatemalan tango community.
