Contra Dance Band (2 hours)  Come absorb some basics of playing in a contra dance band, and go over the tunes for the Sunday 6:30 p.m. contra dance, which will feature our huge open band with Debra Tayleur on piano, Karen Fontana coordinating the callers, and a plethora of fun-loving dancers. Art has been in various music ensembles including "An Evening with Woody Guthrie", which included Woody's West Coast friend Ed Robbin, musical saw icon Charlie Blacklock's band, and "Those Darn Accordions". He's appeared on many radio and television programs including Penn & Teller's "Sin City", and Dick Clark's "American Music Awards". He currently plays in "The Polka Cowboys", "Wildcat Canyon", Huey White's Showband" and "The Lost Hippies". |
