Pete Seeger Room - Room #107

Intense, cerebral, jazzy acoustic guitar stylings. He's like a youthful Mose Allison, only it is guitar, not piano that is his musical accompaniment Justin Purtill has been an active member of the creative music scene for over ten years. He has performed, recorded, and toured with the likes of Gary Burton, Jerry Bergonzi, Hal Crook, George Garzone, Leo Genovese, Brian Godchaux, Donna Jean Godchaux, Melvin Seals and the JGB, and Esparanza Spalding,. Justin has released three CD's of improvisational singer-songwriter musicentitled "Permanent Mystery", "Raw", and "Sore Eyes for Sight" on AYVA Records.

Originally a jazz bassist, Justin Purtill switched to guitar and after two albums under his own name moved to California to join Melvin Seals' funk rock band JGB. During his year long tour with JGB he formed his own trio which is currently his working band. With them and the help of pianist Leo Genovese he cut a CD.
