This performance will include original choreographies by Artistic Director Katy Alaniz Rous. Dance forms seen will include Flamenco, Persian classical, Chinese, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Kathak as well as Congolese, Afro-Haitian, with some ballet and Jazz. Grab your world passport and come celebrate diversity with us on the main stage at 3pm (with some special invited guests).

Choreographer Katy Alaniz Rous created World Dance Fusion as a result of her upbringing in the rich multi-cultural dance community of San Francisco. Her training afforded her studies in dance forms from Brazil, Central Asia, China, Congo, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, India, Russia, Spain, the Middle East, and the United States, with ballet, jazz, and hip-hop. These diverse cultures are the city of San Francisco. How lucky are we to have one of our natives representing this vast diaspora at our Folk Festival.
