The 50th annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival was in Golden Gate Park on Saturday July 11, 2026, in the same location as our last several festivals.
The 2026 festival program is still available for viewing, along with information about the festival site. The 2026 festival theme was “Voices of the People: Folk Music for Justice, Freedom, and Belonging”.
All ages and musical interests are welcome at the festival. All events and workshops are open to anyone who wants to participate or just listen. Admission to everything is free!
We rely on donations and sponsors to cover the cost of renting the facility and other expenses. All the performers and workshop leaders donate their time and talent. Many of them are members of the San Francisco Folk Music Club.
The festival is run by the San Francisco Folk Music Club, a non-profit organization that was founded in 1948 and is still going strong. Membership is open to everyone. Our festivals since 2023 have been co-sponsored by Illuminate and San Francisco Recreation and Parks.
