Come learn some hints and styles of being in a band. After come join the open band for the festival contradance at 7pm.Tinker's Damn is a five-piece band playing the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and other Celtic lands, along with compelling, original compositions in the traditional style. The group comprises five musicians from varying musical backgrounds: Joe Cadora on mandolin, cittern
and vocals; Tim Hart on whistles and percussion; Tris King on guitar, vocals and flute; Ann McChesney-Young on accordion and vocals; and Tom Wagner on fiddle, vocals and guitar. The quintet plays pub concerts, festivals, contra dances and private functions around the Bay Area and northern California.Staunch believers in the importance of sharing the folk-music tradition, each band member teaches individual or group lessons in the San
Francisco Bay Area; the group together teaches workshops at the Berkeley Free Folk Festival and San Francisco Free Folk Festival, and band has also played the Dunsmuir Scottish Games and various BACDS contra dances.
