Kay began collecting rounds in 1987. In 2003, she published a book of rounds and a cappella harmony songs from many lands and centuries -- Pass It Around! Rounds from the Soul of a World. Kay is the Executive Director of Pass It Around! -- a non-profit organization that uses group-singing to support disadvantaged people. She teaches rounds signing and guitar workshops and co-directs From Women's Hearts and Hands Guitar Camp.
