Jeanie and Chuck's Country Roundup

Jeanie and Chuck's Country Roundup performs an entertaining mix of bluegrass, honky tonk and country music on acoustic instruments.  Jeanie¹s powerful lead vocals highlight the rich emotion of classic country music. Be it the duets of George and Tammy or Charlie and Bill, they play country classics with humor and respect.

Jeanie and Chuck Poling have been playing guitar and mandolin together since they met at the San Francisco Folk Club Friday night gathering at Faith Petric¹s house in 1982 and have played together in a variety of acoustic bands over the years.  In 2001 they began hosting a bluegrass jam the first Wednesday of every month at the Plough & Stars on Clement Street, and in 2002 they formed the Country Roundup. Joining the Country Roundup are Diana Greenberg on fiddle, Eric Embry on banjo, and Mike Brown on bass.

Jeanie and Chuck¹s Country Roundup performs at festivals and bluegrass and other acoustic music venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. They have played at the San Francisco Bluegrass and Old-Time Festival, the Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park, and the Brookdale Bluegrass Festival. Jeanie and Chuck can usually be seen annually at the San Francisco Free Folk Festival. Performing on some stage or another and jamming in a hallway or the parking lot.
