A Vintage Ballroom Dance with Frank Beau Davis & The Brassworks.
Join Frank Beau Davis & The Brassworks Quintet (www.brassworksmusic.us) and callers James and Cathleen Myers of PEERS (www.peers.org) for an evening of vintage ballroom dancing. Dance waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, schottisches, vintage Swing, Foxtrots, tangos, reels, mixers, and other popular couple and set dances of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The
Brassworks Quintet performs a wide range of musical styles: Renaissance,
Baroque, Classical, Folk, and Pop,
including Marches, Ragtime, Hot
Jazz & Dixieland, Blues, Swing, Rock Motown, R&B, Latin,
Broadway Show Tunes, and Concert works, including their brilliant
dance arrangements
of waltzes by Strauss, Lehar, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms. The Brassworks
Quintet and the Brassworks Band (the Quintet with their drummer added!)
are among the most popular vintage dance bands on the West coast.

Sunday Evening Dance
7:00: Contra and Square Dance! Until 10pm.
Modern American Contra and Square Dance: flowing and fun moves, danced to Early American and Celtic live music. No partner needed. All dances taught and prompted. All experience levels welcome. Calling by Karen Fontana, Mavis McGaugh, Alan Winston and others. Open Band led by Art Peterson with Ann McChesney and Debra Tayleur.
